November is the busiest flagship month India has seen in a while, and it is also the most confusing one. Four flagship phones in November 2026 are in play at once — but they are in four different states. One is on sale today with a price that has not moved since February. One launched globally three days ago with no India price at all. One is being teased with a date that nobody has confirmed. And one is confirmed for India with no date whatsoever. If you are about to spend a lakh or more on a phone, the question is not which one is best. It is whether to buy now or wait — and the answer is different for each buyer.
At a glance
- The Galaxy S26 Ultra is on sale now at Rs 1,39,999 — the same price it launched at on 25 February, verified at Croma and Vijay Sales on 8 November.
- The iPhone 17 Pro is on sale from Rs 1,34,900, and the standard iPhone 17 is already moving: Flipkart cut it from Rs 97,300 to Rs 95,000 this week, and Amazon.in has it back in stock at Rs 92,900 after being unavailable yesterday.

Flagship phones in November 2026: what you can actually buy today
Start with what is certain. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is on sale now at Rs 1,39,999 — the same price it launched at on 25 February, verified at Croma and Vijay Sales on 8 November. The iPhone 17 Pro is on sale from Rs 1,34,900, and the standard iPhone 17 is already moving: Flipkart cut it from Rs 97,300 to Rs 95,000 this week, and Amazon.in has it back in stock at Rs 92,900 after being unavailable yesterday. The Pixel 11 is on sale from Rs 89,999.
That movement matters. A flagship that is already discounting two months after launch tells you the street price is negotiable; a flagship that has held its launch price for eight months tells you the opposite. The S26 Ultra has not budged, which means waiting for a price cut on it is a weak reason to wait. The iPhone 17, by contrast, is already Rs 7,000 below its Rs 99,900 MRP at some stores, and the gap may widen as the month goes on.
The phone with no price: Motorola Signature 27
Motorola launched the Signature 27 globally on 5 November — the first phone with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, a 200MP periscope camera, and seven years of OS upgrades. The global price is $1,599, with retail availability from 16 November. But Motorola has still not announced an India price, and the estimates are all over the place: anywhere from Rs 70,000 to close to Rs 1 lakh, with one listing going as high as Rs 1,69,999.
That spread is the whole story. Until Motorola names the price, there is nothing to compare it against — no deal to judge, no value call to make. Anyone telling you today whether the Signature 27 is worth waiting for is guessing. What is confirmed is the chip, the camera, the seven years of updates and the 16 November global sale date. The India price is the missing piece, and it is the piece that decides everything.
The phones still being teased
Vivo has started teasing the X500 series on its India website, and launch pages are live on Amazon and Flipkart. Reports point to 25 November, but Vivo has not confirmed a date, and no price has been announced. The iQOO 16 is confirmed for India with no date — reports suggest December. The Xiaomi 18 Pro has only been hinted at by Xiaomi India, with no date and an expected price of around Rs 1 lakh that is itself unconfirmed.
So the honest calendar for the rest of November is: one possible launch on 25 November, and two phones that may slip into December. None of them has a price. None of them can be pre-ordered. Waiting for any of them means waiting for an announcement first, then a price, then a sale date — three unknowns in a row.
The call, by buyer
If your current phone is broken or dying, buy now. The S26 Ultra at Rs 1,39,999 and the iPhone 17 Pro at Rs 1,34,900 are both proven, on sale, and available today — and the iPhone 17’s falling price gives you a cheaper way in at Rs 92,900. There is no confirmed launch in the next two weeks that justifies carrying a dead phone.
If you want the newest chip and the longest software support, wait — but wait for a price, not a phone. The Signature 27’s seven years of updates and the first Gen 6 chip are real advantages, but only if the India price lands near the lower estimates. If it launches near Rs 1 lakh, the S26 Ultra at Rs 1,39,999 is no longer the expensive option in the comparison.
If the camera is your deciding factor, the S26 Ultra is the buy-today answer: a 200MP f/1.4 main camera with two telephotos, available now. The Vivo X500 series will lean on ZEISS zoom when it arrives, but it has no date and no price, and a teased camera is not a camera you can shoot with.
And if your budget tops out near Rs 1 lakh, wait. The Signature 27’s price will be announced soon, and the X500 series will follow — and whichever lands first will set the price the others have to beat. Buying a Rs 1,39,999 phone today when your ceiling is Rs 1 lakh was never the plan.
What could change this answer
Two things. First, the Signature 27’s India price — the moment Motorola announces it, the whole comparison changes, and we will update this guide. Second, the street prices: our price watch checks the S26 Ultra, the iPhone 17 and the rest every morning, and if the iPhone 17 keeps falling or the S26 Ultra finally moves, the buy-now case gets stronger still. Check the Today’s Price Drops page before you pay — a price that moved yesterday is worth more than a rumour about next month.
CompareIdea verdict
November’s flagship race is real, but only half of it is actually running. The phones you can buy today are excellent and honestly priced; the phones you would wait for have no prices and, in two cases, no dates. Buy now if you need a phone. Wait if you want the new chip — but wait for the price announcement, not the launch event, because the price is the only fact that can change your decision.
