All three Snapdragon colours — Arctic Blue, Komodo Coral and Zabriskie Beige — are listed at the same Rs 1,36,990 launch price on Amazon India, against an MRP of Rs 2,00,990 on the Arctic Blue and Beige listings. The two Intel Core Ultra 9 models carry a launch price of Rs 1,93,990 against an MRP of Rs 2,81,990.

Read the Intel price carefully

Some launch headlines describe Rs 1,67,990 as the price of the top-end Intel Core Ultra 9 model. That is not right. Rs 1,67,990 is where the Intel range starts — the Core Ultra 5 325 model. The Core Ultra 7 355 costs Rs 1,75,990, and the Core Ultra 9 386H costs Rs 1,93,990. If you want the fastest Intel chip in this lineup, budget for Rs 1,93,990, not Rs 1,67,990 — a Rs 26,000 difference that matters.

What each model offers

The three models share the same idea — a 14-inch Ceraluminum laptop, 1.39cm thick, starting at 1.1kg, tested to the US MIL-STD-810H military standard — but they are different machines underneath.

The Snapdragon UX3480QA is the lightest and the cheapest. It uses the Snapdragon X X1-26-100 (eight cores), offers up to 45 TOPS of NPU performance, and pairs a 50Wh battery with a non-touch FHD+ OLED display. It weighs 1.10kg.

The AMD UX3480KA steps up to the Ryzen AI 7 345 (six cores, 12 threads) with up to 50 TOPS, keeps the same FHD+ OLED panel and 50Wh battery, but adds touch and stylus support at the same 1.10kg weight.

The Intel UX3480AA is the heavyweight of the three, literally and figuratively: a 3K (2,880×1,800) Lumina OLED touchscreen at 120Hz, up to 1,100 nits of HDR peak brightness and 100% DCI-P3 colour, a 70Wh battery, Thunderbolt 4, and a 1.30kg chassis. The Core Ultra 9 386H at the top has up to 16 cores and 16 threads.

All three run Windows 11 Home with lifetime Microsoft Office Home 2024, carry 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, and come with Wi-Fi 6E, an FHD IR camera, a backlit keyboard with a Copilot key, and USB-C fast charging that ASUS says delivers about 50% charge in 30 minutes.

Battery and buying terms — what ASUS actually claims

ASUS claims up to 33 hours of battery life for the lineup, but has not detailed the test conditions behind that figure, and the three models carry different batteries — 50Wh on the Snapdragon and AMD models, 70Wh on the Intel model — so treat 33 hours as a best-case claim, not a working-day promise.

On financing, ASUS’s launch announcement updates the pre-launch terms: No-Cost EMI now starts at Rs 7,611 per month for up to 18 months, and Low-Cost EMI starts at Rs 6,471 per month for up to 24 months. Those are financing terms, not prices. (The Rs 7,611 monthly figure is consistent with the Rs 1,36,990 starting price — Rs 7,611 × 18 months is Rs 1,36,998 — which is a useful cross-check that the launch pricing is real, not a back-calculation we are presenting as a price.)

CompareIdea verdict

The Snapdragon model at Rs 1,36,990 is the sensible pick for most buyers: it is the lightest, the cheapest, and the one whose battery should last longest in real use. Pay the extra Rs 20,000 for the AMD model only if you want touch and stylus support on the same screen. The Intel range is for buyers who specifically need the sharper 3K 120Hz display and Thunderbolt 4 — and if that is you, the honest price is Rs 1,93,990 for the Core Ultra 9, not the Rs 1,67,990 starting figure. Do not pay the top price for the mid-range chip.
