Three of Apple’s five new products reach stores in India today, Friday 6 November: the redesigned iPad mini with an OLED display, the 24-inch iMac with the M6 chip, and the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6. The other two — Apple’s first touchscreen MacBook Pros — follow on Monday 9 November. Pre-orders for all five opened on 28 October.
At a glance
- In India it starts at Rs 82,900 for Wi-Fi and Rs 1,00,900 for Wi-Fi + Cellular, for the 128GB model, in Midnight and Starlight.
- It starts at Rs 1,74,900 for the base model and Rs 1,99,900 for the higher configuration.
The iPad mini is the biggest change of the three arriving today. It moves from an 8.3-inch LCD to an 8.5-inch OLED display, gains the A20 Pro chip, and becomes the first iPad with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. It is also thinner and lighter than the model it replaces, at 5.4mm and 255g. In India it starts at Rs 82,900 for Wi-Fi and Rs 1,00,900 for Wi-Fi + Cellular, for the 128GB model, in Midnight and Starlight.
The 24-inch iMac keeps its 4.5K Retina display and seven-colour range, and adds the M6 chip with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and a 12MP camera, running macOS 27. It starts at Rs 1,74,900 for the base model and Rs 1,99,900 for the higher configuration.
The 14-inch MacBook Pro with M6 starts at Rs 2,39,900. Apple says the M6 chip has a 12-core CPU and a 12-core GPU, with up to 30 percent faster graphics than the M5, and up to 24 hours of battery life. It keeps the Liquid Retina XDR display — this is the conventional, non-touchscreen MacBook Pro, and it should not be confused with the touchscreen models arriving on Monday.
Those touchscreen models are the headline for next week. The 14-inch MacBook Pro with the PROLED XDR touchscreen starts at Rs 3,49,900 and the 16-inch at Rs 4,09,900, both with M5 Pro or M5 Max chips. They are the first Macs with a touchscreen, a tandem OLED display and a Dynamic Island. We have a separate guide on which of the two 14-inch MacBook Pros to buy.
