Motorola Signature 27 launches in the US at $1,599.99 — pre-orders open November 19

Motorola has officially unveiled the Signature 27 in the United States, and it is the company’s most ambitious non-folding phone in years. The flagship costs $1,599.99 in its only US configuration — 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage — with pre-orders opening on November 19 and sales starting on November 26. It will be sold universally unlocked through Motorola.com, Amazon.com and Best Buy, with no carrier version announced.

The original Signature, which launched in January, never went on sale in the US. The Signature 27 changes that, and Motorola has not held back on the hardware. It is one of the first phones to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chip, paired with a 6.8-inch Tandem OLED display that Motorola rates at up to 12,000 nits of peak brightness. A 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery powers it, with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

The cameras are built around a 50MP Sony main sensor and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with up to 100x Super Zoom, plus a 50MP ultrawide. Bang & Olufsen handles the audio, the body is rated IP68 and IP69 for dust and water resistance, and the phone ships with Android 17 and seven years of promised OS upgrades. It comes in two colours: Coal Smoke and Capulet Olive.

There is a pre-order incentive for buyers who go direct. For a limited time, pre-orders placed through Motorola.com include a Moto Watch Ultra and a year of Motocare cover at no extra charge. The bundle is exclusive to Motorola’s own store, so it will not be available at Amazon or Best Buy.

Motorola also unveiled two companions alongside the phone — the Moto Watch Fit 27 and the Moto Buds Ultra 27 — but neither has a US price or a sale date yet.

The Signature 27 goes on sale in the US on November 26. Pre-orders open November 19.
