Canon EOS R50
CompareIdea verdict
Canon - On sale now. The EOS R50 is the most affordable way into Canon RF system: a 24.2MP APS-C sensor, DIGIC X, Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with up to 651 zones, 6K oversampled 4K30 video, and a compact 375 g body. The trade-off is the entry-level build: the 0.39-inch EVF is small and the camera leans on its kit lens, so it is a starter camera rather than a second body. At $679.99 for the body at Best Buy, checked 2026-11-05, it suits a buyer who wants a light Canon mirrorless camera for photos and video on a budget; the 18-45mm kit is $799.99 and the two-lens kit is $1,049 for buyers who want lenses included.
