The Watch Series 12 is the newest mainstream Apple Watch in this batch: the S11 chip, an Always-On Retina OLED LTPO3 display reaching 2,000 nits, 24 hours of battery with a 15-minute charge giving 12 hours, and 5-second heart-rate sensing with HRV and a Readiness score, in 42mm or 46mm cases with Ceramic Shield 2 on the aluminium models. The trade-off is the price step over the Series 11: at $439.99 it costs $90.99 more than the Watch Series 11, and the listing does not show a battery gain over the Series 11. At $439.99 at Amazon.com, checked 2026-11-04, it suits a buyer who wants the newest Apple Watch with the latest health sensing; a buyer who wants the same 24-hour battery for less should look at the Watch Series 11.
